Preparation and Characteristics of EPDM/NBR Rubber Blends
Butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber (NBR) was blended with ethylene- propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) in the presence and absence of different amounts of bromobutyl rubber (BIIR) to be tested as a compatibilizer. The results revealed that 10 phr was the optimum amount of BIIR to get a compatible blend.
Send InquiryPreparation and characteristics of EPDM/NBR rubber blends
Conductive rubber composites were derived from different blends of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) containing acetylene black.
Send InquiryPreparation and characteristics of NR/EPDM rubber blends
Preparation and characteristics of NR/EPDM rubber blends. For example, in tread compounds, the high abrasion resistance under certain conditions conferred by the use of BR is desirable, but the poor road holding and rib tearing properties are not, hence blends of BR with NR and styrene–butadiene rubber are employed. ...

Benzoyl peroxide was used as an initiator. Then the produced MA-EPDM was mixed with natural rubber (NR)/EPDM blends with various compositions. The scanning electron micrographs demonstrated that the addition of MA-EPDM (10 phr) improved the compatibility of the NR/EPDM blends and thereby led to a finer phase morphology.
